In writing the book "Headshot", which is a story of my life (Tom Knust), from a young boy through Vietnam, I was fortunate enough to have some great advice from my friend David Milch. David who's job is writing and producing television series, among them "Hill Street Blues', "NYPD Blue" and "Brooklyn South", helped me become a better writer. In writing the screenplay "Ducks in a Tree" based on my book "Headshot", I was again fortunate enough to have some great advice from another friend, Jim Wilson. Jim is a producer, writer and director. He produced such movies as Academy Award winning Best Picture "Dances with Wolves". Jim helped me become an even better writer and for both Jim's and David's advice and friendship, I'm forever grateful.
